The British climate can be an issue with our driveways, extremes of weather and the damp can effect the surface of stone and finishes and it is important to protect these in order to prevent having replace a whole driveway which of course can be costly.
Applying a sealant to your concrete or block paving driveway will form a protective seal on the surface that will help prevent any damage from both adverse elements like weather and stains.
There are different types of Sealers to choose from and we at Ashley Paving are happy to advise you of what type is most suitable for your needs and its benefits.
Acrylic Paving Sealer is best used for Concrete Driveways, it has good all round protection and is also a good option for sealing Block Pavers.
Polyurethane Paving Sealer is ideal for Block Paving, it is a little more expensive but has longer lasting properties than Acrylic based sealer.
Water Based Paving Sealer is not solvent based and therefore kinder to the environment. It is not quite a resilient as the solvent based sealers and takes a little longer to dry.
Sealing your driveway is best done in spring or summer as it needs to dry out. It is recommend you seal your driveway every two years in order to keep it in good condition.

Our drive was laid in May 2018 following a quote by Shane several months earlier, which was honoured despite us delaying the work. We found Ashley Paving easy to work with throughout the process; Shane gave us a written quote including a breakdown of work, was happy to talk through different options and provide several local references.
